The health crisis is evolving and so are our groups efforts to reach out and be available to the alcoholics struggling to find solution. Your area officers and I have all been hard at work creating resources and tools to support the cause. Please see a few fruits below:
1. We now have a new Online Meeting Tech Support section of our website: https://area8aa.org/online-meeting-tech-support Please take a minute to review the information and attached supporting documents. If you have any constructive criticisms and/or suggestions, let us hear them! It takes a village.
2. Our Area is now accepting 7th Tradition Contributions via VENMO. Please share this information with your groups/members. Our VENMO account name: @SDIAA-AreaEight
3. Please stay current with our Online Meeting Directories:

I would like to throw out a challenge to the person that can attend the most AA Meetings in as many different countries as possible until the crisis blows over. You get 1 point for each country. On your marks, get set…go!!!
The 2020 70th General Service Conference is still being coordinated as an all-digital experience for Conference Members. However, the schedule has been shortened to include just essential communications, discussions and voting. I will keep you current with updates as I become informed of them.
I know that it might seem like we are stumbling in the dark through this all digital effort to help stay connected. However, what I am hearing from many is that they have been able to attend more meetings than usual, connect with members that they haven’t seen in years and participate in ways that their typical routine restricted. I pray that you each find the faith to take a new step in a new direction and find joy in the unknowable staircase that awaits. We’re in this together!!!

• Hemos pospuesto la Asamblea hasta el 4 de abril para darles a nuestros RSG y nuestros grupos más tiempo para conectarse y recabar conciencia sobre los temas de nuestra agenda. Estamos buscando diseñar un esfuerzo interactivo y participativo en general. Invita a todos los que puedan estar interesados en la experiencia. Sé que podría parecer que estamos tropezando en la oscuridad a través de todo este esfuerzo digital para ayudarnos a mantenernos conectados. Sin embargo, lo que escucho de muchos es que han podido asistir a más reuniones de lo habitual, conectarse con miembros que no habían visto en años y participar de formas que restringían su rutina típica. Rezo para que cada uno encuentre la fe para dar un nuevo paso en una nueva dirección y encuentre alegría en la escalera incognoscible que le espera. ¡¡¡Estamos en esto juntos!!!
